The approach in brief

Among the marine resources of the St. Lawrence, some are already accessible, some are abundant, but the majority remain inaccessible for citizens to harvest.

Assurer la durabilité des activités de pêche et de cueillette récréatives en éduquant et responsabilisant le public.

Développement économique et vitalité régionale
L’accès citoyen aux ressources marines est un moteur de retombées économiques durables et d’attractivité territoriale pour les communautés côtières.

Sécurité alimentaire & autonomie
L’accès citoyen aux ressources marines est un levier concret contre l’insécurité alimentaire et les déserts alimentaires en région côtière.

Mission

Promote the democratization of citizen access to marine resources as a nourishing activity through an educational approach that is both environmentally and economically responsible.

Vision

The implementation of a new model of integrated management of marine resources and fishing techniques which gives priority to citizens and communities in an ecologically responsible approach and which values the heritage linked to the local use of resources.
